Pastor Adeboye not responsible for Nigeria’s problems; RCCG not political party: Redeemed Church

Nigerians are making unrealistic and unreasonable demands of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the spiritual head of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, to command President Bola Tinubu on how to run the country amid economic hardship and wanton violence.
In a statement on Tuesday, the RCCG said, “Yes, Nigeria is facing enormous challenges, and citizens have every right to desire solutions. However, the growing demand that Pastor Adeboye should ‘command’ the president or the first lady on how to run the affairs of the nation is both unrealistic and unreasonable.
“Pastor Adeboye is a clergyman, not the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. Nevertheless, he has not remained silent. Pastor Adeboye and RCCG are not responsible for the current challenges facing the nation. RCCG is not a political party. Pastor Adeboye does not hold political office and was not elected into government.”
