British-Nigerian rapper David Orobosa plans first headline show in Lagos

British-Nigerian rapper David Orobosa, aka Dave, has announced his first headline show in Lagos.
Dave will be performing at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts (National Theatre) on October 16 and 17, 2026, commencing the African leg of his ‘The Boy Who Played The Harp’ tour for his third album.
The Lagos dates mark a significant moment for the rapper and his Nigerian fanbase, who will get to see him headline a concert in the country for the first time.
His earlier stops include Pretoria on October 3 and Cape Town on October 6, with some already sold out.
The rapper took to his social media pages on Tuesday to share details of the event, stating, “LAGOS, NIGERIA! I’m announcing my first-ever headline shows here, and we have made sure this homecoming will be special. Sign up for early access here!”
Dave is regarded as one of the leading figures in UK rap.
He began writing out lyrics from the age of 11 and dropped his first freestyle in May 2015 at just 17.
The 27-year-old became popular with tracks such as ‘Funky Friday’, ‘Location’ and ‘Starlight’, earning praise for his sharp lyricism, storytelling and socially conscious themes.
