A 20-year-old man, Musa Bashiru, on Wednesday pleaded guilty before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, to stealing iron rods valued at N257,000.
Bashiru, whose residential address was not disclosed, was arraigned on a charge of theft.
Following his guilty plea, the Magistrate, Olasinmibo Sanusi, adjourned the case until June 4, for a review of the facts and subsequent judgment.
Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 29 at about 11:00 a.m. in the Oluyole area of Ibadan.
