Oyo assembly confirms two commissioner nominees

The Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Lateef Oyeleke and Ayobami Ojo as commissioners.

The Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Lateef Oyeleke and Ayobami Ojo as commissioners.

This followed the screening and presentation of the nominees for confirmation by the House Committee on Special Duty during Thursday’s plenary.

Following their successful screening, members of the Assembly received the committee report presented by the deputy speaker, Abiodun Fadeyi.

The lawmakers unanimously approved their confirmation, expressing confidence in their capacity to discharge the responsibilities of the office effectively.

Mr Oyeleke, a former commissioner for the environment, has now returned to the executive arm, bringing experience in public service and environmental management.

Mr Ojo, a lawyer and former lawmaker who represented Saki East/Atisbo state constituency.
