Ayra Starr earns UK Silver certification for ‘Bloody Samaritan’

Afrobeats star Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, aka Ayra Starr, has earned a UK silver certification for her single ‘Bloody Samaritan’.
The certification was awarded by the British Phonographic Industry in the United Kingdom.
The song, released in 2021, is part of her debut album 19 and Dangerous under Mavin Records.
Other Nigerian artistes who have previously received the UK silver certifications include Burna Boy and Asake for projects such as African Giant, Twice as Tall, Damini, Work of Art and Lonely at the Top.
Wizkid earned UK silver certification for Made in Lagos, while Davido achieved silver status for Timeless.
Tems, Omah Lay, Rema and CKay also recorded UK silver certifications for projects and singles, including Born in the Wild, Boy Alone, Rave & Roses and ‘Love Nwantiti’.
The development reflects the continued global recognition of Nigerian music in international music markets.
