Tinubu’s Third Anniversary: FCTA begins inauguration of projects Tuesday
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) will inaugurate strategic infrastructure projects across the territory on Tuesday to celebrate President Bola Tinubu’s third year in office.
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, who disclosed this after he inspected some of the completed projects in Abuja on Monday, said that the inauguration would last for 31 days
Mr Wike said that the inauguration would begin with the two main carriageways of the Outer Southern Expressway, from Ring Road I Junction to Ring Road II Junction.
He disclosed that Mr Tinubu would personally inaugurate the project, followed by Arterial Road N5 (Obafemi Awolowo Way), from Life Camp Junction to Ring Road III on Wednesday.
He added that Mr Tinubu would also inaugurate the FCT Highway 105, from Airport Expressway to Kuje, on Thursday.
The minister further said that judges’ quarters for Court of Appeal judges in Katampe, constructed by a local contractor, would be inaugurated on Friday.
He commended the various contractors for delivering the projects within agreed timelines.
“Above all, we are very happy that the residents are also happy,” he said.
Mr Wike said that key leaders in the Tinubu-led administration would take turns to inaugurate the more than 30 projects across the territory, including those in satellite towns, from June 9 to the third week of July.
“I want to say that this is my happiest moment and one of the very happy moments of this administration.
“The credit has nothing to do with me but Mr President, who has given the directive and the support for us to go this far,” the minister said.
Other notable projects scheduled for inauguration included quarters for the FCT High Court and Federal High Court judges.
Others are the Court of Appeal Complex, Abuja Division, in Daki Biyu and Collector Road CN2, from Yomi Osinbajo Way to Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Way), including ILS. 5 in Katampe District.
Also to be inaugurated is the completed Collector Road C01 in the Institution and Research District, to link the Body of Benchers to the Nile University Area.
The access road bypassing the airport’s second runway, from Bill Clinton Drive to the Tungan Madaki settlement with four-span bridges, would also be inaugurated.
A water supply network for the Karu and Bwari satellite towns will also be inaugurated, along with several other projects, during the 31-day period.
