ExCon 2026: Egypt to explore future of digital healthcare in Africa
Cairo will host the fifth edition of Africa Health ExCon from June 15 to 18, 2026, the largest pan-African exhibition and conference dedicated to healthcare, medical technologies and pharmaceuticals.
The event will be held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC) under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Africa Health ExCon 2026 will focus on health sustainability, digital transformation and strengthening healthcare systems across the continent.
It is organised by the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply and Management of Medical Technology (UPA) in collaboration with the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
The forum is expected to host more than 400 companies and over 45,000 participants, including researchers, investors, and international healthcare leaders.
With the theme “Health Sovereignty in Africa: Leadership, Resilience, and Self-Reliance,” the event will examine digital transformation, artificial intelligence, healthcare innovation and investment opportunities.
The programme includes 21 specialised conferences, strategic dialogue sessions and technical workshops aimed at promoting sustainable healthcare development in line with the African Union Agenda 2063 and Egypt Vision 2030.
Chairman of the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Hisjam Stait, said the conference would serve as a platform for governments, international organisations and the private sector to foster innovation, strengthen partnerships and build resilient healthcare systems.
This year’s edition will emphasise strengthening healthcare supply chains, localising medical manufacturing, and enhancing Africa’s health sovereignty.
The event will also highlight strategic initiatives such as the African Pooled Procurement Mechanism (APPM) to improve access to essential healthcare products.
