Stop suppressing Chinese firms, China tells U.S.
China has urged the United States of America to stop the groundless suppression of Chinese companies, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday.
This comes after the U.S. side recently listed relevant Chinese tech firms as military-related enterprises.
China firmly opposes the U.S. overstretching the concept of national security and formulating various discriminatory lists to go after Chinese businesses, spokesperson Lin Jian said.
“We urge the U.S. to correct its wrongdoings and stop the unwarranted suppression of Chinese businesses,” Mr Lin said.
He added that China would do what was necessary to firmly protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of its companies.
