The Legislators’ and Executives’ Presidential Support Committee (TLEGATES-PSC) has pledged to deploy extensive grassroots mobilisation and voter engagement strategies to support the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Ekiti governorship election.

The National Coordinator of the committee, Elijah Ettah, made the pledge during a Democracy Day news conference in Abuja.

Mr Ettah, who is also Senior Legislative Aide on Political Matters to the President of the Senate, said the committee had activated operational structures and outreach networks across Ekiti to complement efforts aimed at securing victory for the APC candidate in the June 20 governorship election.

He commended President Bola Tinubu and the APC national chairman for constituting the party’s National Campaign Council for the election, describing the move as strategic and timely.

According to him, TLEGATES-PSC is prepared to deploy comprehensive grassroots mobilisation, voter engagement, stakeholder coordination, and other support programmes in favour of the APC governorship candidate.

“We have already activated robust operational structures and outreach networks across Ekiti State to complement ongoing efforts towards securing victory for the APC in the forthcoming governorship election,” he said.

Also speaking, the committee’s spokesman and head of strategic missions, Ozi-Raji Williams, said TLEGATES-PSC had established a strong presence across the state and remained committed to supporting the APC’s electoral success.

Mr Williams announced that the committee would hold press conferences and stakeholders’ engagement sessions in Ekiti on June 16 and June 18 to unveil its electoral support programmes.

He said the events would provide an opportunity for members of the APC National Campaign Council and the Ekiti State Governorship Campaign Council to engage voters on the significance of the election and the achievements of the current administration.

In his remarks, the committee’s Director of Diaspora Affairs and Co-Secretary, Moses Owharo, reiterated the group’s support for the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Mr Owharo, who is also Chairman of APC-Democrats of Nigeria, described Mr Oyebanji’s administration as one that has laid a solid foundation for economic growth, infrastructure development, investment promotion, youth empowerment, and improved living standards in the state.

He expressed confidence that the governor would secure victory at the polls and urged eligible voters in the state to support the APC.

“Continuity of good governance remains essential for sustaining the developmental progress and prosperity of Ekiti State,” he said.

Mr Ettah commended the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, who is Co-Chairman of the APC National Campaign Council for the election, as well as members of the council for their commitment and preparedness.

He expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the election and reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to promoting democratic participation, strengthening political engagement, and supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda.
