Show understanding as Tinubu tackles insecurity, Umahi tells Nigerians

The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, on Thursday, appealed to Nigerians to support the President Bola Tinubu administration, especially as regards tackling security challenges.
Mr Umahi made the appeal in Lagos while inspecting some bridge projects, including the Carter Bridge, which will be reconstructed beginning from Monday.
“There is no leader who will not want his reign to be very peaceful, but if you bring crisis, the leader is not going to run away. He is going to face it, and that is what we are doing,” he said.
Mr Umahi said that whether the heightened security challenge was orchestrated politically or not, God will give Mr Tinubu the grace to tackle it and all other challenges of the country.
“The same God that brought him is going to be there to solve all the problems,” he said.
He expressed confidence that God will use Mr Tinubu as Nigeria’s president up to 2031 to advance the country.
He also expressed hope that Mr Tinubu’s administration would complete all the projects it initiated.
“Your hands that have started this will complete it. If we don’t have the confidence that God is continuing to bless Tinubu, we will not be very bold to say this,” Mr Umahi said.
He said that the construction of the new Carter Bridge would be completed in three years.
“It is within our five years,” he said.
