Gov. Yusuf rallies support for Tinubu, APC ahead of 2027

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano says the state is fully committed to delivering victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
The governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, made this known in a statement on Saturday in Kano.
He said the governor made the declaration during an interactive session with elected and appointed government officials.
Mr Yusuf said Kano would lead in delivering massive votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The governor described the president’s reelection as a collective responsibility of party members and government officials.
He directed political appointees yet to register with the APC to do so immediately, adding that all elected and appointed officials must identify with the party and strengthen its structures ahead of the polls.
He said that his administration remained committed to the APC victories in the presidential, governorship, National Assembly, State Assembly and local government elections.
To motivate political office holders, Mr Yusuf approved the allocation of plots of land to over 300 political aides, including senior special assistants, special assistants, senior special reporters, special reporters, and personal assistants.
He also approved a payment of N100,000 to each beneficiary.
Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Ismail Falgore, said the APC owes no apology for promoting Tinubu’s achievements in Kano, noting that constituency projects supported by the governor had strengthened the party’s acceptance.
Kano APC Chairman, Umar Doguwa, expressed confidence that the APC would win in 2027.
At the end of the meeting, the officials unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu and Mr Yusuf, and pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation for the party’s success in 2027.
