FRSC cautions motorists against one-way driving

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State sector command, has advised motorists to exercise patience and desist from driving against the flow of traffic, especially on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The sector commander, Oludare Ogunjobi, gave the advice in an interview on Tuesday in Ota, Ogun State.
Mr Ogunjobi said flooding of the expressway due to heavy rainfall on Tuesday caused some motorists to drive against traffic, resulting in gridlock.
“The FRSC is appealing to motorists to be patient, reduce speed and avoid driving against the flow of traffic,” he said.
Mr Ogunjobi stated that impatience and flouting of traffic rules would compound traffic situations.
He added that the FRSC officers and other traffic managers were on the ground to control traffic on the expressway and restore normalcy.
Heavy rain on Tuesday caused many motorists to spend hours on the expressway.
