Abuja: 13,000 civil servants sit FCTA’s 2025 promotion exam
The Federal Capital Territory Administration and the Federal Capital Development Authority have begun the 2025 promotion examination for more than 13,000 civil servants across 150 cadres and grades.
Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, who disclosed this in Abuja on Wednesday, said that the exercise was approved by FCT minister Nyesom Wike.
Mr Ezeh said that the computer-based test, which began on Wednesday, would last for 10 days as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
He said that Mr Wike had directed the commission to ensure that the 2026 promotion was conducted before the end of the year, so that all eligible officers would have the opportunity to grow in the service.
”The minister has also directed the commission to work with all relevant agencies to ensure a hitch-free exercise. In line with the directive, we will do all we can to ensure that all issues that arose from the previous exercise do not reoccur,” he said.
He assured all candidates that arrangements have been concluded to ensure a hitch-free exercise, pleading with participants to be patient during the process.
