Fans await Davido’s performance at upcoming Toronto’s Urbanova Music Festival

The organisers of Urbanova Music Festival has unveiled Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, as part of its lineup for a two-day festival from September 5 to 6 in Canada.
In a statement on Friday, Urbanova announced that Davido will perform on the second day of the festival slated to take place at the Markham Fairgrounds in Toronto.
The organisers assured that fans should expect electrifying performances from Davido at the festival.
“We are thrilled to welcome @davido to the Urbanovafest 2026 lineup for DAY 2! The Afrobeats icon is set to deliver a monumental performance packed with chart-topping hits, unmatched energy, and an unforgettable atmosphere,” the organiser stated.
The organiser added, “This is a show you won’t want to miss. All OBO fans.”
Other music stars, including American rappers DaBaby and Swae Lee as well as Jamaican singer Shenseea, have also been confirmed for the festival.
Now Toronto reported that the Markham Fairgrounds is expected to welcome up to 15,000 attendees during the festival’s first edition.
The announcement has expectedly elated Davido fans on social media. “That’s my gee Davido Global… OBO for a reason… total shutdown,” X user @SirHenroDeGreat commented.
Another user, simply identified as Timmy, took the opportunity to take a dig at Davido’s arch rival Wizkid, stating “Make una no use booking kill my idolo abeg. Wizkid dey there too nah, make una call am. That one don tey for house, make him sef go see something chop.”
“Funny how he has a song with each of the other headliners. Pere with Swae Lee (Rae Sremmurd), Showing Off her Body with DaBaby. RnB with Shenseea,” user @MosesAjayi_ said.
