Israeli intelligence reveals Iran’s fresh plot to assassinate Trump

Israeli authorities have shared new intelligence with the U.S., according to a report, regarding Iran’s reported plot to assassinate President Donald Trump.
The Wall Street Journal on Thursday cited sources familiar with the matter, saying that Iran has “hatched a fresh plot to kill Trump”.
It added, “Israel shared new intelligence with the U.S., revealing Iran’s new plan to take out the American president.”
The new intelligence came years after Iranian authorities publicly said they would assassinate Mr Trump in retaliation for Qassem Soleimani, a top general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Though details of Iran’s new plot have not been revealed, Mr Trump on Wednesday had told reporters, “They want to take out the U.S. leader, me. I’m on whatever list. I saw this morning I’m on every single one of their lists.
“So far, I guess I’ve been a bit lucky, but maybe that doesn’t last very long. These are evil, sick people. And we have to root out that cancer. That cancer. You know what you do? You’ve got to cut out cancer early. And that’s the way I feel.”
The reported new intelligence comes amid lingering hostilities between Washington and Tehran.
The U.S. resumed attacks on Iran after the ceasefire agreement failed again, according to the report.
