Gov. Sani appoints new aides, board chairs to enhance service delivery

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has appointed three additional aides, chairmen, and members of boards and governing councils to enhance service delivery and drive the transformative agenda of his administration.

A statement issued by his chief press secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, on Monday, said that the appointments are part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and inject fresh energy into public service.

The statement disclosed that Hon. Audu Maikori has been appointed as the chief strategic advisor on Inter-Governmental Affairs, adding that Umar Uba Maicitta is now Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations, and Aminu Mohammed Gusau is Senior Special Assistant on Policy Communications.

According to the chief press secretary, Dr Ibrahim Umar is the pro-chancellor/chairman of the Kaduna State University Governing Council.

He added that Dr Ibrahim Hamidu is a member of the council, representing zone one, while Mallam Adamu Aliyu Shika and Mrs Ladi Barnabas Bala Bantex represent zones two and three, respectively.

The statement further disclosed that Alhaji Adamu Attah represents the organised private sector in the council.

Governor Uba Sani has also appointed Alhaji Lawal Umar Meyere as board chairman of Kaduna Mining Development Company, and Hon Addau Ahmed, Hon Kabiru Tsoho Yakawada, and Yohana Allah Magani Christopher represent zones one, two and three on the board, respectively.

The statement also named Mr Tanko Kokwain as the new board chairman of Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority, with Thomas Samuel Amale representing zone one, while Esther Ayuba Anthony represents zone two, and Mustapha Ahmed is representing zone three on the board.

The four-member board of Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Agency will be chaired by David Umar Gurara, the chief press secretary said, adding that Bello Nuhu Yakubu, Hon Hassan Adamu Shekarau and Mrs Hannatu Sambo are members.

According to him, Nuhu Yakubu, Hassan Shekarau and Mrs Sambo represent zones one, two and three, respectively, on the board.

The statement further said that Yakubu El Saad Lere is the chairman of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Board, while Zubairu Balarabe Saminu, Binta Saidu, and Habila Abel Adamu are members.

Malam Ibraheem Musa noted that the ‘’ new appointees are seasoned professionals and resourceful leaders, carefully selected based on their proven track records, competence, and unwavering dedication to the socio-economic development of Kaduna State.’’

‘’While congratulating the new appointees, Governor Uba Sani charged them to view their appointments as a call to duty,’’ the chief press secretary noted.

The governor also ‘’urged them to hit the ground running by executing their duties with utmost diligence, transparency, and strict adherence to ethical conduct to ensure the rapid delivery of democratic dividends to the good people of Kaduna State.’’
