Oyo Terrorists: ASNAT hails Oriire schoolchildren’s military rescue operation

The Association of Nigerian Artisans and Technicians has commended President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian military for rescuing abducted schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo state.
In a statement on Tuesday, ASNAT’s spokesman, Abdulkadir Salihu, said the operation reflected Tinubu’s commitment to protecting lives and strengthening national security.
The successful rescue demonstrated the administration’s resolve to combat insecurity through decisive leadership and effective deployment of security assets, and the operation aligned with the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to improve safety and restore public confidence nationwide, said the association.
ASNAT praised the military and other security agencies for their bravery, professionalism and tactical efficiency during the operation, noting that the troops displayed courage while navigating difficult terrain to secure the victims’ freedom, describing their actions as patriotism and unwavering dedication to duty.
The association, however, expressed sadness over the deaths of two teachers who reportedly died while in the custody of their abductors despite the rescue mission and extended condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased teachers.
The statement paid tribute to a military officer, Felix Ademe Isaac, who died during the rescue operation, describing him as a courageous soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice.
According to ASNAT, the late officer’s selflessness and steadfast commitment to duty represented the highest ideals of patriotism, sacrifice and service to the nation.
