NOA seeks collaboration with Edo broadcasting service on public orientation

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Enugu State office, has called on the management of the Enugu State Broadcasting Service (ESBS) to further collaborate with it in promoting public enlightenment in the state.
The State Director of NOA, Clara Nwachukwu, made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the Managing Director (MD) of ESBS, Ladi Akeredolu-Ale, on Wednesday in Enugu.
Ms Nwachukwu explained that the agency has the mandate to enlighten Nigerians on government policies, programmes and national values.
She stressed that collaborating with the media was critical toward achieving the agency’s mandate.
She expressed appreciation to ESBS for its support in disseminating information on the activities of the agency before now, using its popular radio programme, “Stitch in Time.”
“NOA appreciates ESBS for providing the platform to engage directly with members of the public. The agency is willing to support more radio and television programmes to further promote civic responsibility, national unity, and public awareness,” she said.
Responding on behalf of the MD of ESBS, the Head of Commercial Services, James Ani, commended the agency for its vital role in educating Nigerians on government policies and programmes.
Mr Ani added that ESBS had significantly improved its coverage and now enjoys a wider audience.
“The wider reach of ESBS has increased its capacity to reach more citizens with timely and accurate information,” he said.
Mr Ani further urged the agency to introduce orientation clubs in primary and secondary schools to instill patriotism, discipline, and civic values in children from an early age.
He assured the agency of ESBS’s continued support and collaboration, emphasising that the station remains committed to partnering with NOA in advancing public enlightenment for the benefits of the citizens.
