Trump govt. condemns Kaduna killings; charges Tinubu to tackle rampant violence against Christians in Nigeria

The Trump administration has condemned the killing of 30 farmers in Kaduna State earlier this week, charging President Bola Tinubu to address violence against Christians in Nigeria.
In a statement on Saturday, the U.S. Bureau of African Affairs said, “The United States condemns the early morning July 27 attack on a village in Nigeria’s Kaduna State that reportedly killed at least 30 people, including children.”
The U.S. government also expressed its “deepest condolences to the loved ones of the deceased,” adding, “We will continue to urge the Government of Nigeria to address rampant violence against Christians in the Middle Belt.”
On Monday, gunmen raided Naridon, a Christian community in Southern Kaduna, killing at least 30 people, including children.
The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has condemned the recent terrorist attack on Naridon in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area in Kaduna State, warning that the perpetrators must not be allowed to undermine the state’s hard-earned progress toward peace, reconciliation, and inclusive governance.
