Kano zoo warthog gives birth to piglets

The Kano Zoological and Wildlife Management Agency has announced the birth of two warthog piglets at its zoo.
KAZOWMA’s spokeswoman, Hauwa Adam, confirmed this on Tuesday. She said both the mother and her offspring were healthy and in good condition.
“The two piglets are being closely monitored by animal keepers at the zoo to ensure their health and proper development.
“The birth is a positive development for the zoo’s wildlife conservation and management efforts and offers visitors an opportunity to learn more about warthogs and the need to protect wildlife. Warthogs are members of the pig family known for their distinctive facial features and tusks,” she said.
Ms Adam explained that KAZOWMA continues to promote wildlife conservation, encouraging the public to protect animals and their natural habitats.
She added that the mother and her two piglets would continue to receive proper care and monitoring at the zoo.
