OnlyFans model bags six-year jail term for stabbing Nigerian boyfriend to death
A Florida-based OnlyFans model, Courtney Clenney, has pleaded guilty to stabbing her Nigerian boyfriend to death four years ago at their residence in Miami.
The 30-year-old adult model pleaded guilty to charges of manslaughter and second-degree murder on Monday for the death of her 27-year-old Nigerian partner, Christian Obumseli, who died in April, 2022.
In her plea deal, she was sentenced to six years in prison, followed by five years of probation, while undergoing mental health treatment and evaluation.
She still faces up to 30 years behind bars if convicted of second-degree murder.
During investigations, authorities confirmed through several videos and clips that the victim and the defendant’s relationship was violent.
Mr Obumseli was fatally stabbed on April 3, 2022, at the couple’s luxury apartment in Miami after getting food for both of them. Her attorney said she admitted to causing the incident while trying to protect herself, claiming that her partner was abusive.
An autopsy report from a medical examiner in the country said that the Nigerian died from a downward thrust that pierced a major artery three inches into his chest.
The mother of the 27-year-old victim, Ocio Obumseli, said, “Nothing can describe what it feels like for a mother to stand at the grave of her child.
“There are also the things that will never happen for me now that he’s gone. The birthdays, the holidays we will not celebrate with him, the conversations we will never have, the person he would continue to become, those losses continue much longer after today’s court case ends, ” Ms Obumseli said.
The Obumseli family disagreed with the claims of his partner being combative, saying that anyone could attest that he was a compassionate, loving, and friendly person
The family also said that they did not see the criminal offence as a means to make money.
