The Lagos governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Laja Adeoye, says the party is now ready to dislodge the All Progressives Congress and govern Nigeria in 2027 as he congratulates newly elected members of the party’s National Working Committee.
Mr Adeoye, in a statement on Friday, also congratulated the party’s national leader, Bala Mohammed, following the successful national convention held in Bauchi.
He described the convention as an epoch-making event and a significant milestone in the APM’s development and growth.
Mr Adeoye said the party had, within a remarkably short period, emerged as a frontline and credible opposition party capable of providing Nigerians with an alternative ahead of the 2027 elections.
He attributed the party’s growing acceptance largely to the quality, credibility, and widespread acceptance of its presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde.
Mr Adeoye said, “I congratulate the newly elected members of the National Working Committee of our great party, the Allied Peoples Movement, led by Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, following the successful election held in Bauchi.
“I also extend my heartfelt congratulations to our national leader, Senator Bala Mohammed. It is no longer in doubt that APM has emerged, within a remarkably short period, as a frontline and credible opposition party to reckon with in Nigeria.
“This achievement has been made possible largely by the quality, credibility, and widespread acceptance of our presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE—a leader the good people of Nigeria are eagerly waiting to vote for and elect overwhelmingly in 2027.”
Mr Adeoye particularly commended Mr Makinde “for making us proud and for leading us into a great party like APM”.
“We assure him that we will deliver impressive numbers across Nigeria at the 2027 polls,” he stated while also commending delegates and leaders from Lagos and other parts of the country for their contributions to the national convention.
The APM governorship candidate thanked the people of Bauchi State for the warm reception accorded to delegates and party leaders during the convention.
Mr Adeoye assured Mr Makinde and other party leaders that APM members in Lagos State and across the country would work towards delivering impressive electoral numbers for the party in 2027.
He said the party’s growing structure and acceptance across the country had strengthened its readiness for the 2027 general elections.
