The Katsina State police command has foiled bandits’ attack and kidnapping in Fulalawa village under Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State.

This was disclosed by Abubakar Aliyu, the command’s spokesman in a statement on Friday, stating that exhibits were also recovered from the suspected bandits.

“On August 13, 2026, at about 11:30 AM, a distress call was received at the Musawa Police Division that some suspected armed bandits, armed with dangerous weapons, had attacked Fulalawa Village,” he said.

Mr Aliyu explained that the attackers broke into local shops, abducted several residents, and rustled livestock.

“On sighting the team, the bandits opened fire. The joint team responded with superior tactics and firepower, forcing the attackers to abandon their captives and flee into nearby bushes with suspected gunshot injuries,” he added.

He stated that all the kidnap victims were rescued unharmed and have since been reunited with their families, noting that the team recovered two operational motorcycles abandoned by the fleeing bandits.

“Efforts are being intensified to ensure the arrest of the fleeing suspects,” he added.
