OsunDecides: Gov Adeleke campaign group alleges voter intimidation by Fadahunsi

The Imole Campaign Council for the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke has cried out against yet another alleged voter intimidation by Senator Francis Fadahunsi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Osun East senatorial district during the ongoing governorship election in Osun State.
Spokesperson for the campaign council, Pelumi Olajengbesi, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, following a viral video of the 74-year-old federal lawmaker directing supporters at his polling unit 1, NUD Primary School, Collation Centre in Ilase-Ijesa, to monitor voters’ choices on their ballot papers.
Mr Olajengbesi said, “Nigerians and the rest of the world are alarmed at yet another sacrilege committed against democracy by Senator Francis Fadahunsi of the Osun East senatorial district on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
“Fadahunsi was heard and seen instructing All Progressives Congress supporters at his polling unit 1, NUD Primary School, collation centre in Ilase-Ijesa to monitor the choices made by voters during the ongoing governorship election.
“He went further to tell his followers to take action against those not following the APC. This is scandalous, unacceptable and undemocratic. The security agencies must immediately stop the voter intimidation by Fadahunsi and his foot soldiers.”
Mr Olajengbesi stated that the senator had given a directive days before the ongoing election to his supporters that they should kill any Accord Party supporters they see.
“One would have thought that he had learnt his lessons with his last despicable outburst, but alas! A leopard never changes its spot,” he added.
