Yari donates N163 million, assorted grains to Zamfara bandit attack victims

Abdul’aziz Yari, the senator representing Zamfara West senatorial district, has distributed N163 million and 837 bags of assorted grains to families of victims of bandits’ attacks across six local government areas of Zamfara West.
Presenting the cash and food items to beneficiaries in Anka on Saturday, Mr Yari said the gesture aimed to provide succour to families of the deceased and victims.
Mr Yari, a former Zamfara governor, who was represented by the coordinator of his constituency office, Alhaji Sha’ayau Sarkinfawa, expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and those who sustained injuries as a result of security challenges across the state.
He said the beneficiaries comprised victims of bandit attacks, including families of deceased persons and injured individuals across Anka, Bukkuyum, Bakura, Gummi, Maradun and Talata Mafara local government areas.
According to him, 141 families of deceased persons and 44 injured persons will benefit from the gesture.
“Each of the 141 families of the deceased will receive N1 million each and 5 bags of assorted grains, including rice, maize and millet.
“The 44 injured victims will receive N500,000 each and three bags of assorted grains,” Mr Yari said.
