Emir of Rano to lead Kano pilgrims for 2027 Hajj: Gov. Yusuf

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has appointed the Emir of Rano, Amb. Muhammad Umar, as the 2027 Amirul Hajj and leader of the state delegation for the pilgrimage.
This is contained in a statement issued by Mustapha Muhammad, the chief press secretary (CPS) to the governor, on Saturday in Kano.
Mr Yusuf said he chose the emir considering the fact that last year, the Emir of Gaya, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, was chosen to lead the Hajj delegation to Saudi Arabia.
“Next year’s Hajj 2027, the Emir of Rano Alhaji Amb. Muhammad Isa Umaru is going to be the Amirul Hajj,” the governor confirmed.
The CPS said that the emir and the emirate thanked the governor for the singular honour.
