The executive secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Stephen Adegbite, has felicitated Muslims in Nigeria and the diaspora on Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

Mr Adegbite, in a statement on Monday, urged the Muslim faithful to emulate the prophet’s virtues and shun actions contrary to his teachings.

He urged them to use the celebration for deep spiritual reflection and self-examination, reflecting on their lives and the exemplary deeds of Prophet Muhammad.

Mr Adegbite restated the need for the Muslim faithful to devote the day to educating themselves on what the prophet stood for, describing him as a shining light and model for humanity.

The NCPC boss also urged Muslims to continue to pray for President Bola Tinubu and other leaders as the country prepared for future elections, expressing optimism that peace and the will of God would prevail.

He admonished Muslim clerics to continue providing sound spiritual guidance to their followers so they can embrace peace at all times.

Mr Adegbite reiterated the need for the Muslim faithful to uphold the values of peace, love, harmony, dialogue, and patriotism across the country.
