Arsenal edge Villa 1-0, seal second victory of new campaign

Arsenal continue their winning streak in the new 2026/2027 season as they beat Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park on Monday night.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, Ricardo Calafiori set up Bukayo Saka, who finished on target in the 59th minute.
The goal also marked his second goal of the season following his goal against Coventry City in the Gunners’ league opener.
Unai Emery’s side struggled through the game, failing to register a single shot on target.
The loss marks their second straight defeat, following their 4-0 loss to Brighton.
Villa head back to recover from the defeat as they prepare for their away game against Hull City, while the defending Champions face Chelsea in Sunday’s London derby.
