Nasarawa deputy speaker promises constituents increased dividends of democracy

The deputy speaker urged members of the forum to continue to embrace teamwork.

The Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Muhammad Adamu-Oyanki,  has urged health workers to uphold professionalism in service delivery to save lives and drive the overall development of the state.

Mr Adamu-Oyanki made the call while hosting a Health Workers Forum in the Doma Local Government Area in support of the Nasarawa State All Progressives Congress’ governorship candidate, Aliyu Wadada, in his office in Lafia on Thursday.

According to the deputy speaker, a healthy nation is a wealthy nation, hence the need for the call.

The deputy speaker also assured of more initiatives and people-oriented programmes that would better the lives of his people.

Mr Adamu-Oyanki reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that his people emjoy the dividends of democracy.

He assured that health, education, agriculture, youth and women’s empowerment, among others, would continue to remain at the top of his priorities.

He stated, “By God’s grace, I will continue to provide all-inclusive leadership for my people and be a worthy representative at the state legislature at all times. I have done a lot, and I will continue to do more in order to improve the standard of living of my people.”

The lawmaker commended the group for the solidarity visit and support for his re-election bid, as well as that of Mr Wadada and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The deputy speaker further urged members of the forum to continue to embrace teamwork and live in unity and peace irrespective of their affiliations.

Earlier, the leader of the forum, Ismail Kasim, said the visit was aimed at showing solidarity and support for Mr Adamu-Oyanki’s re-election, as well as Mr Tinubu, Mr Wadada, and other APC candidates.

He assured of the forum’s readiness to mobilise support for Mr Adamu-Oyanki’s re-election.
