Man arrested for killing two sisters in UAE

A man who was accused of killing two sisters following a dispute has been arrested by Sharjah Police.
In a statement on Thursday, the police said the victims and the suspect were from Kazakhstan, noting that the suspect was tracked after a specialised team meticulously pieced together crucial evidence collected from the crime scene.
Brigadier Khalifa Balhai, director of the Criminal Investigation Department at Sharjah Police, said the investigation revealed that the victims had a relationship with the suspect before they were killed.
Mr Balhai stated that the disputes between them led to the deaths of the two sisters.
“The speed of the investigation was attributed to the immediate response of police teams, close coordination between different security units and the precision of field procedures, Mr Al Balhai said.
The police said that the suspect confessed to committing the crime after being confronted with the investigative findings and evidence.
It stated that necessary legal procedures had been taken against him and that the case had been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
