10 suspects nabbed over alleged possession of illicit drugs in Delta

The Delta State police command says that 10 suspects are currently in its custody, for allegedly being in possession of illicit drugs.
The command’s Spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement in Warri on Sunday.
Mr Edafe explained that the suspects were caught in Abbi Community, Ozoro in the Isoko North Local Government Area of the state, on Friday.
He stated that the suspects comprised three males and seven females.
The police spokesman added that the suspects were caught by operatives of the command’s Anti-Cult Unit, during a raid on a brothel.
Mr Edafe stated that the raid followed credible information on the whereabouts of a wanted suspect, who allegedly committed arson in August.
The statement read in part, “Illicit drugs such as: tramadol, swinol, Canadian Loud, and weeds, suspected to be marijuana, were recovered during the raid,” he added.
He added that the command was profiling the suspects to ascertain their levels of involvement, adding that those found culpable would be prosecuted.
