INEC fixes September 19 for by-elections in four states
The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed September 19 for five by-elections in four states. The states are Gombe, Kano, Bauchi and Delta.
INEC chairman’s chief press secretary, Dayo Oketola, disclosed this in an interview on Tuesday in Abuja.
Mr Oketola said the by-elections comprise one federal and four state constituencies.
According to Mr Oketola, the by-elections will take place in the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye federal constituency in Gombe, while the state constituencies will take place in Disina and Sakwa in Bauchi; Udu and Dawakin Kudu in Delta; and Kano state constituencies, respectively.
