Troops of Hadin Kai have arrested two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and recovered a large quantity of motorcycle spare parts and other items allegedly intended for Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists operating within the Yunusari-Mobbar general area of Yobe.

“The operation was conducted on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, following credible human intelligence on the movement of logistics supplies suspected to be destined for terrorist elements.

“Acting swiftly on the intelligence, troops of 159 Battalion under Sector 2 OPHK, in conjunction with other security elements, mobilised a fighting patrol and intercepted the suspected logistics consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe state,” Mohammed Goni, the acting spokesperson for the troops, said in a statement on Tuesday.

Mr Goni said the items recovered during the operation include large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, and brake components.

Others include gaskets, piston kits, chains and sprockets, speedometers, clutch plates, rocker arms, CDI units, coils, rectifiers, fuel-related components and other motorcycle spare parts. They also recovered 145 pairs of footwear and Tecno Android phones, among others.

“The suspects and recovered items have been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation and necessary action,” Mr Goni noted.

He said that the successful interception represented another effort by troops to disrupt terrorist logistics networks and deny them critical supplies required to sustain their activities.
