Fortune Football Academy announced their title ambitions in Week One with a remarkable comeback victory over St Petersburg Academy.

Fortune conceded after just 42 seconds but recovered to turn the match around, with substitutes Lateef Wasiu, Ibrahim Olaoye and Odesola Odunayo making significant contributions.

Divinely Blessed Academy also attracted attention after Ugwuokolie Chidalu scored after just six seconds in their opening match.

The team will hope to convert their fast start into their first victory of the campaign in Week Two.

Debutants SC Heritage displayed resilience in their opening fixture, with Jonathan Norbert scoring a late brace to earn his side a point against Moore Wins Football Academy.

Elsewhere, Bright Star Football Academy produced one of the most impressive performances of the opening week, recording a 5-1 victory over Seraphic Football Academy.

Valentine Aniako was the standout performer, scoring four goals, including a second-half hat-trick.

His impressive start has placed him among the early contenders for the league’s Golden Boot award.

Atico Football Academy will make their league debut against Bright Star Football Academy and will face a stern test against the competition’s early pace-setters.

Atico will need a disciplined defensive approach to contain Bright Star’s attacking threat and secure a positive result on their debut.

Another match to watch will be the meeting between Ajegunle United and Moore Wins Foundation Academy, with both sides seeking their first victory.

Ajegunle United drew 1-1 with Young Eleven FA in Week One, while Moore Wins were held by SC Heritage following Norbert’s late brace.

The fixture also carries an element of rivalry, following Moore Wins’ 3-1 victory over Ajegunle United in the Under-14 edition of the competition.

Ajegunle United will therefore be keen to avenge the defeat and claim bragging rights when both sides meet again.

St. Petersburg Academy will also be seeking redemption after surrendering an early lead in their opening fixture against Fortune Academy.

The team took the lead after only 42 seconds but failed to maintain the advantage as Fortune staged a comeback victory.

St. Petersburg will hope to build on their early attacking threat when they face Seraphic Academy in Week Two.

Seraphic, meanwhile, will be seeking an immediate response after their heavy 5-1 defeat by Bright Star.

The team will need to improve its defensive organisation considerably to avoid another difficult outing.
