Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has announced the immediate removal of Stanley Mbam, the Commissioner for Works in the state.

This was disclosed on Saturday by Monday Uzor, the spokesman for the governor.

The governor directed him to hand over all government property in his possession, including his official vehicle, to the secretary to the state government and transfer his responsibilities to the permanent secretary in the ministry.

“The governor assured residents of the State that his administration remains focused on delivering effective governance and improving public infrastructure,” he said.

The reason for his removal was not stated in the statement issued on Saturday by the spokesman for Mr Nwifuru.
