Fortune FA maintained their unbeaten start to the Nathaniel Idowu U-16 Football League with a 7-0 thrashing of Seraphic in Week Three.

Five matches were played on Sunday at the New Maracana Sports Complex, Tolu, Ajegunle, Lagos.

The victory was the biggest of the season, with Fortune FA strengthening their position at the top of the league standings.

Adebayo Lateef opened scoring for Fortune FA in the 30th minute after a tense opening period.

Odesola Odunayo doubled the advantage five minutes later before Akanbi Quadri made it 3-0 in the 40th minute.

Odunayo completed his hat-trick with goals in the 80th and 85th minutes, taking Fortune FA’s dominance beyond doubt.

Adetola Faizor completed the rout with two late goals in the 90th and 90+2nd minutes.

The defeat leaves Seraphic with 17 goals conceded in three matches, underlining the defensive problems confronting the team.

St. Petersburg also recorded a 3-1 victory over Moore Wins, continuing their campaign with an impressive three-goal haul.

Tajudeen Abdulrasaq put St. Petersburg ahead in the 10th minute before Olajide Dolapo doubled the lead in the 20th minute.

Emmanuel Ebube made it 3-0 in the 48th minute, while Israel Igoh scored for Moore Wins two minutes later.

Young Eleven ended Bright Stars’ unbeaten start with a 3-1 victory, recording an important result in the race for points.

Osbert Samuel gave Young Eleven the lead in the 30th minute, but Sheriff equalised for Bright Stars in the 40th minute.

Young Eleven restored their advantage five minutes after the restart before Raphael Lati completed the scoring in the 80th minute.

With only two goals conceded in three matches, Young Eleven currently have the league’s best defensive record.

Heritage secured their first victory after recovering from a two-goal deficit to defeat Atico 3-2 in the day’s most dramatic encounter.

Atico appeared set for victory after establishing a two-goal advantage, but Heritage produced a spirited comeback after the break.

Joshua Garba, Jonathan Norbert and Chukwuemeka Bryan scored as Heritage overturned the deficit to claim maximum points.

The victory lifted Heritage out of the relegation zone and boosted their hopes of turning around their campaign.

Ajegunle maintained their strong form with a 3-1 victory over Divinely Blessed for their second consecutive win.

Ajegunle defeated the same opponents 6-0 the previous week, and another victory strengthened their position among the leading challengers.

Peter Adoga opened scoring in the 57th minute before Akindipe Timilehin doubled Ajegunle’s advantage in the 68th minute.

Onyebuchi Okolo, who has impressed in recent matches, added Ajegunle’s third goal in the 81st minute.

Kosi scored a consolation for Divinely Blessed in the 90+2nd minute, but Ajegunle held on for another convincing victory.

Ajegunle’s back-to-back victories, following 4-0 and 3-1 wins, have established the side as an early challenger to Fortune FA’s dominance.
