Police nab suspected Lagos cultist, recover rubber pistol, charms, axe
The Lagos State police command says it arrested a suspected cultist, identified as Muyideen Olatunbosun, and recovered a rubber-made pistol, axe, charms and illicit drug along Idi-Iroko, Ogolonto and Agric areas of Ikorodu.
The command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, said the suspect was arrested after an intelligence received during the patrol.
She stated that a search conducted on the suspect led to the recovery of one rubber-made pistol, one axe, charms and an illicit drug popularly known as “Ice.”
Ms Adebisi said, “The suspect is currently in police custody and is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Efforts are also ongoing to apprehend other members of his alleged cult group.”
The state commissioner of police, Tijani Fatai, commended the operatives for their vigilance and prompt response to credible information.
