Public Service Games: Kano head of service inspects facilities
The head of service in Kano, Bilkisu Maimota, has inspected selected sports facilities ahead of the Federation of Public Service Games.
Ms Maimota inspected the facilities on Monday to assess their readiness and suitability for hosting the games successfully.
She was accompanied by the chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission, Tukur Babangida, permanent secretaries and other senior government officials.
The facilities inspected included Kano Club, Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education and Bayero University, Kano, among others.
During the inspection, Ms Maimota stressed the need for adequate preparation, proper coordination and provision of necessary facilities to create a conducive environment for participating athletes and officials.
She expressed optimism that Kano would successfully host the games with the collective efforts of relevant stakeholders.
Ms Maimota urged those involved in the preparations to ensure that all necessary arrangements were in place ahead of the games.
