United States President, Donald Trump, has claimed Canada is destroying itself by allowing what he described as unchecked mass migrants into the country.

Mr Trump disclosed this in a statement on his TruthSocial, accusing the Prime Minister Mark Carney’s administration of letting in ‘millions and millions’ of immigrants without proper vetting. 

“Canada is destroying itself by allowing millions and millions of people into the country, essentially unchecked and unvetted, and who are causing problems that will soon be too big to handle,” the American leader said. 

Speaking further, Mr Trump described mass migration as a liberal takeover, warning that it would end badly for Canada. 

“It is a liberal takeover that will end very badly. Already showing up in their numbers. Big unemployment. ‘Oh Canada!,” he added. 

Immigration restrictions and mass deportation have been some of Mr Trump’s major policies in his second term in office. Reports noted that at least 300,000 people have been deported by his administration. 

As part of his crackdown on immigration, Mr Trump also imposed travel bans on Nigeria and dozens of other countries, restricting their citizens from obtaining U.S. visas.
