APM postpones South-South town hall meeting
The Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation has postponed its South-South zonal town hall meeting, scheduled for Friday, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.
Anthony Ehilebo, a spokesperson for Governor Seyi Makinde, announced this in a statement on Thursday.
The organisation said it would announce a new date in due course, expressing regret for any inconvenience caused to stakeholders and supporters in the zone.
“The organisation regrets any inconvenience the postponement may cause our distinguished stakeholders, teeming members and supporters in the zone. A new date will be communicated in due course,” he said.
Despite the postponement, the organisation confirmed that the North-Central zonal town hall meeting would proceed as planned on Monday, in Lafia, Nasarawa.
The update followed the successful reception of Mr Makinde and his running mate, Musa Daura, during their North-West engagement in Katsina.
The organisation noted that the turnout further underscored the popularity of the party’s presidential candidate, his running mate and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) across the country ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The organisation urged citizens to stay focused on the collective quest to rescue and reset Nigeria to a nation that works for all under a Makinde-Daura presidency on the platform of the APM.
“The organisation urges all Nigerians to remain united and steadfast in this collective quest to rescue and reset Nigeria to a nation that works for all under a Makinde-Daura Presidency on the platform of the APM,” he stated.
