Police arrest suspected ‘one chance’ robbers in Abuja
The police command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) says it arrested three suspected members of a ‘one chance’ robbery gang around the Court of Appeal Junction in Abuja.
The suspects were identified as Okwudili Benjamin, 41, and Chinedu Mbaka, 37, according to a statement on Saturday by the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh.
She stated that the suspects were intercepted in a Toyota Camry.
“Nine Android phones, pliers, a wheel lock and other exhibits were recovered,” Ms Adeh said.
She stressed that further investigation led to the arrest of their alleged receiver, Osondu Benard, at NPC Junction, Nyanya.
She added that the suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
