Tinubu congratulates Yari on 58th birthday
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Governor Abdulaziz Yari on his 58th birthday.
Mr Yari, who currently represents Zamfara West in the National Assembly, is the director-general of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign council.
In a statement on Monday, Mr Tinubu’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, said the president extolled Mr Yari as a loyal party man, an experienced administrator, and a grassroots mobilizer whose political sagacity and organisational capacity continue to add value to the APC.
“Senator Yari served meritoriously as two-term Governor of Zamfara State from 2011 to 2019, during which he chaired the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, providing leadership and fostering unity among his colleagues,” the statement said.
Mr Tinubu thanked Mr Yari for leading the ruling party’s presidential campaign council, praising his commitment, resilience, and unwavering belief in the APC’s progressive ideals.
