An estate agent, Foluke Adewole, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, over alleged house entering and stealing.

Adewole was charged with house entering, stealing, and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace.

She, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor, ASP Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that the defendant committed the offences in July 2026 at Odo-Ona Elewe, Ibadan.

Mr Adegbenro alleged that the agent unlawfully entered the house of one Isiaka Olayiwola and stole a television, roofing sheets, clothes, a mattress, and other items.

He further alleged that the defendant conducted herself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by renting out Olayiwola’s house without his consent.

According to the prosecutor, the offences contravene in the, 390(9), and 249(d) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Olasinmibo Sanusi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of ₦200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The magistrate ruled that the sureties must be the eldest biological children of the defendant.

She adjourned the case until October 13 for mention.
