North-East governors hold 13th forum meeting in Maiduguri

The North-East Governors’ Forum (NEGF) on Friday began its 13th regular meeting in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, to deliberate on issues affecting the development and well-being of the region.
The two-day meeting, hosted by Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno, is being held at the government house in Maiduguri and will end on Saturday.
This is contained in a statement signed by Dauda Iliya, special adviser to the governor on media and communication, on Friday in Maiduguri.
The meeting is being attended by the six governors of the region, including Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, Agbu Kefas of Taraba and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe.
Mr Zulum, who is also chairman of the forum, welcomed the governors and other distinguished guests to Maiduguri.
The governors are expected to discuss good governance, peaceful coexistence, security and measures to improve the socio-economic well-being of people across the North-East.
