Ikeja Electric blames national grid for poor power supply
Ikeja Electric says it attributed reduced electricity supply across its network to a shortfall in the power allocated to it from the national grid.
The company disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
“We wish to inform customers across Ikeja Electric network that the reduced hours of electricity supply is due to a shortfall in the amount of power currently allocated to our network from the national grid,” it said
The company apologised for the inconvenience and sincerely appreciated its customers’ patience and understanding.
“Please be assured that we are actively engaging the relevant stakeholders to improve the available power supply and will continue to distribute the power received from the grid as efficiently and equitably as possible,” it said.
The company said it remained committed to keeping customers informed as the situation evolves.
