Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has approved N63.65 million for the registration fees of 67 indigenes of the state undergoing legal training at the Nigerian Law School for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The state Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Junaidu Bello-Marshal, SAN, stated this in a statement in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

Mr Bello-Marshal said each of the 67 beneficiaries would receive N950,000 to cover their registration fees, bringing the total approved amount to N63.65 million.

He said the approval was part of the administration’s commitment to supporting indigenes pursuing legal education and ensuring that financial constraints did not hinder their professional development.

Mr Bello-Marshal expressed appreciation to the governor for his continued support for Kebbi  State law students and the ministry of justice.

The commissioner said the gesture would ease the financial burden on the beneficiaries’ parents and guardians, adding that it would enable them to concentrate on their studies and professional training.

He recalled that the state government had also paid tuition and registration fees for Kebbi indigenes attending the Nigerian Law School in 2024 and 2025.

Mr Bello-Marshal said the continued intervention demonstrated the administration’s commitment to promoting legal education and developing legal practitioners from the state.
