Kogi: Deputy Gov Salifu mobilises Ofu for APC, seeks massive votes

Deputy Governor Joel Salifu has urged residents of Ofu council area to support the All Progressives Congress and its candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Mr Salifu made the call on Tuesday at an APC mobilisation meeting in Itobe, urging people to show their support for the party through massive votes.
He highlighted development projects the Kogi government executed in Ofu, including school renovations, provision of primary healthcare facilities, security interventions, and solar power projects in Agojeju and Obagu.
The deputy governor said the government planned to extend the solar power project to Ejule, Ugwolawo and Itobe. He also promised to present other community-identified needs to Governor Ahmed Ododo for consideration.
Mr Salifu urged the people of Itobe to increase their support for the APC, noting that the large turnout at the meeting demonstrated the community’s capacity to deliver substantial votes for the party.
He appealed to the people to support President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections, including Joseph Erico, Victor Uchola, Mohammed Musa and Isah Emeje.
The deputy governor urged people of Kogi East and Igala land to remain aligned with the APC, saying continued support for the party would attract more development to the district.
Mr Salifu expressed confidence that Ofu would deliver massive votes for the APC, while cautioning the electorate against politicians who return to the grassroots only during electioneering.
