FAAN servicom tasks service providers on customer satisfaction

The Servicom Unit of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Yakubu Gowon Airport Jos, Plateau State, has urged service providers to prioritise customer satisfaction at all times.
Head of the Servicom Customer Service Department, Austin Umoh, made the call on Thursday during an event to commemorate the 2026 Customer Service Week, tagged “Going the Extra Mile.”
Mr Umoh said that the theme aimed at encouraging service providers to exceed expectations and address customers’ concerns.
“Going the extra mile requires service providers to identify grey areas, respond appropriately to complaints and ensure satisfactory experiences for customers,” he said.
Mr Umoh said that positive customers’ feedback remains an important measure of effective service delivery, adding that organisations must be responsive to customers’ concerns.
He thanked its customers for their patronage and assured them that efforts were being made towards improved service delivery.
Mr Umoh encouraged staff to uphold professionalism, safety, timeliness and responsiveness in the discharge of their duties.
Speaking, the General Manager of the airport, Chidimma Ekpo, represented by the Director of Operations, Jane Omonifegha, commended the servicom unit for its efforts toward improving quality service delivery.
Ms Ekpo called for suggestion boxes, routine checks of vendors and concessionaires to prevent food poisoning and the sale of expired products.
She also urged regular facility checks and measures to reduce noise pollution within the airport.
A passenger, Musa Gowon, who spoke on the sidelines of the event, commended FAAN for its quality services and for ensuring a cleaner environment within the airport.
He also commended the management of the airport for its ambience and favourable weather but called for measures to reduce noise pollution through improved infrastructure.
Mr Gowon also urged stakeholders to ensure timely flights and reduce delays, noting that punctuality was important to passengers’ satisfaction.
