Turkish Airlines says it will increase flight frequency on the Istanbul to Lagos route from seven to 10 weekly services from December 11.

The airline’s management disclosed the increase in a statement on Saturday in Lagos.

It explained that the expansion follows Turkish Airlines’ increase in Istanbul to Abuja services to seven weekly flights in June 2026.

The statement added that the increase was aimed at meeting the growing travel demand between Nigeria and Türkiye and onwards international destinations.

The additional Lagos services are expected to support both business and leisure travel while improving access to destinations across its international network.

The flights would provide passengers with greater flexibility and more convenient connections through Istanbul to more than 350 destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.

This would further strengthen the airline’s connectivity between Nigeria and Türkiye.

It also said Turkish Airlines operates a fleet of more than 560 aircraft, connecting passengers to destinations worldwide through its hub at Istanbul Airport.

Business class passengers connecting through Istanbul would also have access to the airline’s business lounge at the airport, which offers facilities and services for transit passengers, it further said.

The airline added that the new flight schedule introduced three additional weekly services on the Istanbul to Lagos route, bringing the total to 10 flights in each direction weekly.
