Nigerian Adebayo Maoli arrested in Canada for allegedly exposing himself to three women inside train, elevator
A 28-year-old Nigerian man, Adebayo Maoli, has been arrested and charged in Canada for allegedly exposing himself to three different women on a subway and inside an elevator.
The Toronto Police Service (TPS) announced his apprehension in a statement, stating that the suspect committed the first offence in September when he naked himself in front of two women inside a subway car.
Mr Maoli reportedly fled from the scene after the victims activated the security alarm system of the vehicle.
“The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in relation to an Indecent Act and Sexual Assault investigation. It is alleged that on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m.
“The accused exposed himself to two victims onboard a TTC subway car southbound at King Station — the accused exited the train after the security alarm was activated by the victims,” the police said.
According to the police, the second incident happened earlier this month at midnight when the suspect followed the third victim from a subway car onto an elevator where he once again exposed himself to the woman before fleeing the scene after being confronted.
“It is further alleged that on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at approximately 12:10 a.m.: The accused followed the victim who was getting off a TTC subway car at College Station — the victim got onto an escalator and the accused followed — the accused exposed himself to the victim — the victim verbally confronted the accused, who fled the area,” the TPS stated.
Mr Maoli was eventually arrested by law enforcement officers before being charged with two counts of indecent act and one count of sexual assault as investigators suspect that there could be more victims.
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on October 9 but the outcome of the hearing had yet to be released by prosecutors as of press time.
